CHALLENGE
Education has shifted to hybrid and digital-first learning models, after the COVID-19 pandemic, but there are many institutions still operating on legacy systems that struggle to support modern classroom demands. Today’s students are digital natives who expect seamless technology experiences similar to the platforms they use every day, and educational institutions need to bridge the gap between traditional classroom infrastructure and the expectations of next-generation learners.
STRATEGY / BIG IDEA
As a platform expansion consultant, my team launched an experiential and hands-on learning campaign, Empowering Modern Classrooms with Windows 11, that was designed to move beyond traditional product demonstrations. Microsoft launched Windows 11 for Education, which is a specialised version of Windows 11, tailored specifically for students, teachers, and educators. This version of the operating system offers advanced security, enhanced accessibility, and AI-powered features to improve learning environments.
EXECUTION
We built a comprehensive community engagement strategy which blended on-ground activations, expert-led sessions, and digital amplification. We hosted Campus showcases hosted at KES College and Viva College, bringing the Windows 11 experience directly to students. This included expert deep dives with Acer and Microsoft specialists who discussed performance, productivity, and learning tools in Windows 11 for Education.
To provide hands-on experience, we hosted contests, like Spin to Win and Fastest Laptop Setup, to encourage developer community activation. The team also worked on an integrated digital campaign, which included a dedicated landing page, social media promotions, and paid media outreach.
OUTCOME
As an experienced platform ecosystem architect, this campaign supported campus events with strong student participation and engagement. Students gained hands-on confidence using Windows 11 tools for learning, collaboration, and productivity, and strengthened Windows 11’s positioning as the operating system built for next-generation classrooms and digital-first education environments.
